Drapolene Cream – 350g unique formulation

Drapolene® Cream is an effective treatment for nappy rash. Its unique antiseptic formulation gently soothes the inflammation and reduces the redness on the skin. It also helps prevent nappy rash as it helps to stop the bacteria growing that causes the irritation in the first place.

Drapolene Cream – 350g contains two antiseptics: benzalkonium chloride and cetrimide, which soothe and treat the rash, helping to stop the growth of bacteria which can cause the rash.

Directions for use

1. Wash the affected area and dry it thoroughly, by taking care of the folds of the skin.
2. For Nappy Rash: Apply evenly at each nappy change.
3. For minor burns/sunburn: Apply as required.
4. Urinary Dermatitis: Regular Application is advised.

Ingredients

Drapolene Cream is a smooth pink cream for topical use. It contains the active ingredients: Benzalkonium chloride solution 0.02% w/w (equivalent to Benzalkonium chloride 0.01 % w/w) and Cetrimide 0.2% w/w in a water miscible base.
It also contains: White soft paraffin, wool fat (purified lanolin), cetyl alcohol, polawax, chlorocresol, amaranth (E123) and water.

Side Effects

• Side-effects are not common with Drapolene Cream.
• Drapolene Cream may occasionally cause an allergic reaction, for example a skin rash.
• If this happens to you, or you have any other unusual side-effects, stop using the treatment and tell your doctor or pharmacist.

Warnings and precautions

• Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
• Do not smoke or go near naked flames- risk of severe burns.
• Fabric (clothing, dressing, bedding, etc) that has been in contact with this product burns more easily and is a serious fire hazard.
• Washing clothing and bedding may reduce product build-up but not totally remove it.
