Choosing the right shampoo

For dandruff, an antifungal shampoo like Nizoral used twice weekly for 4 weeks typically resolves most cases. For ongoing scalp psoriasis or seborrhoeic dermatitis, coal-tar-based products like Polytar or Capasal work best applied for several minutes before rinsing. Tea tree adds mild antimicrobial action for oily or itchy scalps. Baby shampoos are tear-free and pH-balanced for very young children. Daily Argan oil shampoo suits dry, processed or coloured hair.
