Choosing sun protection

For most UK use, SPF30 gives the right balance of protection and wearability. SPF50 is sensible for very fair skin, children, high altitude or strong-sun travel. Spray formats are easier to apply on bodies and harder-to-reach areas — but always reapply after swimming or towel-drying, even when the bottle says "once-a-day". Pair with a hat and sunglasses for face protection.
